Colonel claims Iraq loss could be media's fault

Insurgent attacks are up, but it’s the media that’s the problem. Yeah right. Digby lambasts Colonel Jeffrey Snow for repeating Rovian talking points. Now it’s very risky for us armchair bloggers to criticize what an army commander in the field says. But even this commander “acknowledged insurgent attacks have gone up in his western Baghdad area of operations since the start of a city-wide security crackdown ordered by the new Iraqi government earlier this month.” So what does he want the media to do? Lie and say things are going all hunky-dory?
