You should always marry someone of a different racial background then yourself. That way, you are less likely to be the subject of a story like this one:

I think it's the duty of adoptive parents of children who might find themselves in this kind of situation to give the children enough information so that they can avoid this sort of thing. GSA also applies to people who know they're related, so long as they didn't grow up together. Supposedly it's a very common problem when long-lost relatives meet each other. Of course being attracted is one thing, needing to get your marriage annulled is a whole other category.
Speaking of which, if they hadn't actually been married, it could almost be New Comedy.
