Part of you might be your sibling

Are you a genetic chimera? You may be and not know it. Different parts of your body may have different genetic makeups, because you are the result of the fusion of two fraternal twin embryos. This could make finding a matching organ donor somewhat difficult. But that may be when they discover the condition. Of course, your body hasn't rejected the parts of it that are genetically dissimilar, so maybe your body would be better at accepting new organs.

I find this fascinating. Of course, the downside of this is that it may set back the progress made by the Innocence Project, with prosecutors and judges keeping an exonerated individual on the hook indefinitely until they can "rule out" the possibility that a sibling's DNA may lurk within his/her cells and thereby prove guilt after all. The only way to completely exonerate the individual would be to match the DNA at the crime scene to a different identifiable person. In this "brave" new world we live in, little surprises me anymore.
