Bush's parade of terrorists
Quiddity at Uggabugga makes a great point about Bush's timing of the transfer of all of these terrorists to Guantanamo:
Bush says the families "should have to wait no longer". So, how long have they been waiting? Here are the capture dates for the three men mentioned:To say nothing of the fact that this transfer is a complete admission that we were running illegal "black sites" where God knows what took place. Bush is desperate, and this kind of transparent political theater will not save him. After holding these guys for three to four years, Bush decides that now, exactly two months before the election, it's time to send "Congress legislation to specifically authorize the creation of military commissions to try terrorists for war crimes" in order for them to "face justice" because the families "should have to wait no longer".
